Country Club at Deer Run member Jenny Vigilante wins her third tournament of the season

LAKE WALES, Fla. — Jenny Vigilante won her third tournament of the season and was named the Florida Sun Conference and NAIA Region XIV Golfer of the Year as the Savannah College of Art and Design women's golf team finished in second place at the 2007 NAIA Region XIV/Florida Sun Tournament Monday (April 16) afternoon.
Vigilante, a sophomore from Casselberry, Fla., shot her second consecutive round of 78 to win the 36-hole tournament with a score of 158 and was named the NAIA Region XIV and Florida Sun Golfer of the Year.
Embry-Riddle, as the winner of the region tournament, earns an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship, which will be held May 15-18 in San Diego; however, SCAD is expected to receive an at-large berth when the NAIA announces the tournament field May 4. Vigilante advances to the NAIA National Championships.
