May 21, 2011 - The Grand Opening celebration of the Disc Golf Complex at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club took place. A demonstration and clinic was put on by 12 Time World and 5 Time United States Disc Golf Champion, Ken Climo. There were several contests, free food and a performace from the K-9 Disc Golf Squad. A great time was had by all of the 100 plus attendees.
April 2, 2011 - "Disc Golf Course" is open. On Saturday April 2nd Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club has opened one of two, 18 Hole Disc Golf Courses for business. The 18 Hole "Executive Course" is open for public play from 7:00am until dark seven days a week. The 18 Hole "Championship Course will be open in a couple of weeks. February 25, 2011 - The "Peach State Professional Tour" played The Country Club of Mt Dora and has re-booked an event for their February 2012 Tour series.
February 22, 2011 - The Ladies "Suncoast Tour" played The Country Club of Mt Dora in a two day event. They have re-booked an event for their February 2012 Tour series.
February 8, 2011 - Once again the Eagles have landed at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club. If your game won't allow you to score an "Eagle" you will at least be able to see a few at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club. It all started in 2006 when a pair of Bald Eagles constructed their home in a large pine tree next to the eighth green. Since then, they have been busy and once again have produced another baby Eaglet. The new Eaglet is about 8 weeks old and can be seen sitting on the edge of the nest anxiously waiting for it's first flight. Soon it will be able to go fishing with Mom and Dad in the lakes along hole thirteen.
January 15, 2011 - Plans are underway for the construction of two 18 hole "Disc Golf" courses aka Frisbee Golf at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club on the land formally occupied by the South course. Both courses are scheduled to open in mid-Spring 2011. Rock Springs still has an 18 hole ball golf course open and operating.
November 15, 2010 - Art Moreau has made six (6) Hole-In-Ones at The Country Club of Mt Dora since he has been a member playing the course.
September 20, 2010 - The Golf Group announces the addition of it's first non-owned golf club management contract. The Monarch at Royal Highlands in Leesburg, Florida was added to The Golf Groups portfolio as it's first outside club management contract. One of Sam Floyd, the Director of Operations goals for The Golf Group was to grow the company in the club management side of the golf industry. The take over of the operations of The Monarch is scheduled for late October 2010. The Golf Group is currently in the process of locating other potential facilities to manage.
September 17, 2010 - The Golf Group's Summer Junior Golf Tour awards banquet was held at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club. The Tour and the event was a success and will become an annual event sponsored by The Golf Group.
May 15, 2010 - The Golf Group announces it's 1st annual Summer Junior Golf Tour for juniors ages 13 to 18 years of age. The tour begins at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club on June 15th and will have weekly tournaments on Tuesday's at a different Golf Group facility each week. There will be seven total tournaments with the final tournament being played back at Rock Springs Ridge followed by an awards presentation. Registration fee is $25 per junior for the summer event. April 3, 2010 - Rock Springs Ridge in conjunction with Edwin Watts Golf hosted the Cleveland/Srixon Tour Van. The day was filled with fantastic equipment prices and several events including three "FREE" short game clinics.

November 1, 2009 – The Golf Group, Inc. has partnered with Edwin Watts to lease and open four “Green Grass” stores. The stores will be located in the pro shops at Wekiva Golf Club, The Country Club of Mt Dora, Rock Springs Ridge and Twin River Golf Club. Prices for merchandise will be the same as in their existing stores as well as on-line.
October 1, 2009 – The Golf Group, Inc. Selects Pay Cor to lead them into 2010 as its “NEW” partner to provide payroll services for all six of its clubs.

March 4, 2009 – Sam W. Floyd was named the Director of Operations of The Golf Group owned by Robert Dello Russo. Sam brings to the company 22 plus years experience as a Director of Operations in the Hospitality Industry and over 15 years as Director of Golf Operations in the golf industry.
February 27, 2009 – Rock Springs Ridges hosts Hooters Tour three day qualifying event.
February 20, 2009 – Casselberry Golf Club breaks all records in winter season rounds played but still maintains a four hour round of golf.
December 1, 2008 – The Country Club of Deer Run was voted 2008 Top 100 Golf Courses by Golflink. The Ron Garl designed course has combined the best of existing terrain with an environmental sensitive golfing experience.
